Abacus Designs has produced high quality counted cross stitch kits since 1993. Our growing range includes historic buildings, town and coastal scenes, inland waterways and canals, and samplers. Most of our designs represent quintessentially British subjects and scenes. About 200 kits are illustrated on this website.

We produce the widest range of cross stitch kits depicting canal and inland waterway subjects, and we now stock related kits from other suppliers. We also have a few long stitch and tapestry kits of canal scenes.

More recently, we at Audlem Mill have introduced craft kits, embroidery kits, and something rather different - embroidery kits of flowers, with a packet of seeds!

We also provide some needlework and craft accessories by mail order, for example embroidery frames, threads and some craft tools and materials, but you will find a whole lot more if you visit our shop, Audlem Mill, in south Cheshire.
